Bio
The Horton File: A captain, a leader and one of the biggest threats on attack; Horty is quick off the dodge and unstoppable when she gets the shot off in tight and early. She has a quick jump off the 8 meter on free position shots and is feisty and competitive off the draw.
2009: Senior season was cut short by a season-ending injury ... despite playing in only eight games, still finished third on team with 16 goals and 19 points ... picked up 13 of her goals in a four-game stretch ... registered two assists and a goal vs. Virginia Tech, Mar. 10 ... lone goal against Central Conn. State was the game-winner ... also finished senior campaign with 15 groundballs and 13 draw controls, while causing eight turnovers ... finished outside the top-five in the Wildcat record books in goals (88) and points (121).
2008: Netted career-high 30 goals, fourth most on the team, in junior campaign and set new personal-best with 39 points ... one of four Wildcats to start all 16 games ... scored at least one goal in all but two games ... set new career-best with six goals in leading Wildcats to an 11-5 win at Cincinnati ... three times dished out two assists in game ... defensively, picked up 15 groundballs and caused eight turnovers.
