Miles Ahles joined the Wildcats program in January of 2025 as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Ahles comes to Davidson after two seasons on Thakkar’s staff at Bentley, where he served in the same roles.
In 2024, Ahles defense finished ranked among National leaders in third-down conversion percentage, red zone defense, sacks, turnovers gained and defensive pass efficiency.
In addition, two of Ahles linebackers earn all-conference honors, while one was named an All-American.
Prior to his time at Bentley, Ahles four season in charge of the defense at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, Calif.
Ahles was a three-year starter at middle linebacker and a team captain for Chapman University. He was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player and was named to the Southern California Intercollegiate Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic Team.
The San Diego native graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named a Presidential Scholar at Chapman, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with a minor in Computational Science.
