Davidson head football coach Paul Nichols announced the hiring of former Washington State Cougar Jarrail Jackson as the Wildcats’ quarterbacks coach, Friday, March 27, 2015.
Jackson joined the Wildcat staff after spending the past three years at Washington State with the most recent title, Director of Player Relations.
Jackson’s impressive football background goes beyond the collegiate level as he spent a year with the New York Jets as an offensive intern assisting the program’s head coach Rex Ryan.
For six seasons, Jackson was the wide receivers coach and assisted with special teams at Dartmouth College where he coached seven All-Ivy selections and one All-New England Returner who was third in the FCS in punt returns.
Prior to Dartmouth, Jackson was a wide receivers coach at Central Oklahoma for two seasons, before beginning his coaching career at Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Okla.
After a four-year standout collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma, Jackson spent eight seasons playing professionally, including a two-year stint with the Buffalo Bills (2000-02). Jackson spent six seasons in the ArenaFootball2 League.
Jackson received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from University of Oklahoma in 2001.
Jackson has three children, Acelynn, Brooklynn and Jalen.
