Bush Hamdan
Boise State '08
1st Season
Recruiting areas: District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina (area code 252), Virginia
Bush Hamdan is in his first season as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Hamdan, who brings a wealth of experience playing and coaching at the FBS level, most recently served as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Arkansas State, which claimed the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Championship and the 2014 GoDaddy.com Bowl.

"We are excited to welcome Bush to Davidson College and the Wildcat Football Family," said Nichols. "He has a tremendous coaching pedigree and comes highly recommended. We are excited about not only his knowledge of offensive football but also his character. He will be an excellent mentor for our quarterbacks and provide a tremendous plan for our offense."
Prior to last season, Hamdan spent 2012 as the wide receivers coach at the University of Florida, helping guide the Gators to an 11-1 record, a No. 3 ranking in the BCS standings, and an appearance in the 2013 Sugar Bowl.
Hamdan spent 2011 as the tight ends coach at Sacramento State and the 2010 campaign as a coaching intern on the Maryland staff. Hamdan's lone season at Maryland saw the squad produce a 9-4 record, including a 51-20 victory over East Carolina in the 2010 Military Bowl. He also spent a season (2009) at the University of Colorado as a student assistant working with the quarterbacks.
"I feel very fortunate to join Coach Nichols' staff and be a part of the Davidson community," said Hamdan. "The opportunity to be closer to home and work at such a highly-regarded academic institution has made this a special fit."
The Gaithersburg, Md., native graduated from Boise State with a bachelor's in communications in 2008, garnering three letters in five years as a quarterback under the tutelage of Chris Petersen. He was twice voted a team captain as the back-up quarterback, and earned the 2008 "Bronco Excellence" award for integrity and leadership. In his role, Hamdan helped mentor record-setting quarterback Kellen Moore, and he had a part in calling the famous "Statue Left" play that won the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
Hamdan went on to complete his master's in athletic administration from Idaho State.
A highly-decorated high school quarterback, Hamdan was a member of the Super 44 Prep Team and All-Metro in Washington, D.C. During his prep career, he passed for more than 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.
He is the brother of former NFL quarterback, Gibran Hamdan.
