Bio
The Book on Thompson: One of the best three-point shooters in the SoCon, Thompson can handle both the point guard and shooting guard spots on the floor. Over the last three seasons, she has proven to be an impact player for the Wildcats. She achieved career numbers last year in points, rebounds and three-point shooting percentage. Her work ethic and leadership are two characteristics that has led to her improvement year-after-year.
2009-10 Highlights:
•Averaged career-best and team-high 12.6 points per game senior year.
•Finished 12th all-time on the ‘Cats’ scoring chart with 1,045 points.
•Senior year moved into second place all-time in made three-pointers (161) and assists (342).
•Voted the team's MVP for 2009-10 season.

•Started all but one of 30 games played as a junior, while hitting the double-digit mark in points 19 times (four of them 20-point games), pushing her career total to 33.
•18 times hit multiple three-pointers in a game.
•One of three ‘Cats to average over 10 points on the season (a career-best 11.7) and against league opponents (13.6 ppg).
•Closed out season reaching double digits in points in last four games, including a 21-point effort vs. College of Charleston in the SoCon Tournament. In those last four games, averaged 15.5 ppg and shot 51.2 percent from the field, including a sizzling 55 percent from downtown (11-20).
•Ranked in the SoCon top-10 in assists (3rd-3.6 apg), three-point field goal percentage (4th-.428, 9th nationally) and three-pointers made (3rd-65). The 65 made treys is second-best in a single season.
•Named to the All-Winthrop Hilton Garden Inn Classic Tournament team after starting the week with a combined 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists against Winthrop and Mississippi.
•Had a game for the record books when tied a school record with 35 points, getting 27 of them on a new school-record nine three-pointers (9-12) in leading four players in double figures at Appalachian State during a 95-75 win, Dec. 6. •Recorded second straight 18-point contest, including a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe to tie a school single-game record in an 84-76 overtime win at Wofford, while hauling in nine boards (six on offense, a personal-best) and pocketing a new career-high six steals.

•Enjoyed a perfect career-night at Belk Arena on Jan. 20 against Wofford. The freshman hit both of her field goal attempts, including a three-pointer, and nailed a team season-best 8-of-8 free throws for a new season-high of 13 points, while pocketing three steals, all in just 12 minutes of action.
