The Book on Laune: A 5-10 guard/forward, Monica is a versatile athlete who can defend inside and out. Her size and athletism allows her to be a mismatch offensively for the Wildcats' opponents, while being a defensive stopper. Coming off career highs in points and rebounds, she looks to have an even bigger impact in her senior campaign for Davidson.

2009-10 Highlights: 
•Senior year averaged career highs in nearly every category, including points per game at 7.9.
•Earned the team's Most Improved Player Award after career senior year.
•Started a personal-best 15 of 25 games in final season.
•Set a single-season school mark with .880 free throw percentage. Also had the second-best three-point shooting percentage in the SoCon at .423 (30-71).
•Reached the double-digit mark in points nine times for career, getting seven of them in final season.
•In return trip back home to Nebraska, finished with a combined 15 points, three rebounds, five assists, five steals and a block against Nebraska and Creighton.
•Returned from a three-game absence to drop in eight points and pull down four rebounds in 15 minutes of action in a win at Furman to start SoCon play.
•Dished out a season-best five assists and netted nine points in a league win over UNCG, Jan. 2.
•Matched career-best with a 5-for-6 performance at the charity stripe on way to season-high 13 points and seven rebounds at Elon.
•Topped season-best in rebounds while matching career-high in pulling down eight boards to go along with six points, four assists, two steals and a block vs. Longwood.
•Rattled off two solid games at College of Charleston and Georgia Southern, with a combined 34 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Registered a season-best 19 points at CofC, hitting a career-high five three-balls and adding six rebounds. Then in an 18-point win vs. the Eagles, pacing the team with 15 points.
•Matched career-best from behind the arc with five treys on way to a team-high 16 points at App. State.
•Drained first three shots from behind the arc on way to a team-best tying 13 points vs. Elon.
•Led a 19-point bench effort in a win vs. College of Charleston, Feb. 20, with nine points in 18 minutes of action.
•Closed out last career home game with four points, four rebounds and three assists vs. Furman.

2008-09 Highlights:
•Started a career-best eight of her 25 games, including earning a starting nod in the last six games.
•Ranked second on the team with a career-best 62 assists. Set career highs in nearly every offensive and defensive categories.
•Stellar start to her junior season when she dropped in eight points and set a personal-best with eight boards off the bench in a 61-40 win over Winthrop, Nov. 15. Seven of her eight points were scored during a 25-7 run midway through the second half as Davidson pulled away for the win.
•Pocketed a career-high six of Davidson’s 14 steals in a 68-47 setback at South Carolina.
•Earned second career start against No. 17 Vanderbilt on Nov. 28 and responded with three points and a season-high five assists.
•Provided the offensive fire-power off the bench in a 95-75 win at App. State on Dec. 6 when scored in double figures for the first time in her career by going off for 15 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field, including hitting two three-balls, and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.
•Matched career-high in assists with six as Davidson dished out 17 as a team in a win over Western Carolina, Dec. 14.
•Had a solid return on Jan. 3 after missing three games with six points and five rebounds off the bench in Davidson’s fifth league win of the season against Elon.
•Sparked the Wildcats in snapping their 20-game losing streak to Chattanooga, Feb. 14, by going for a game- and career-high 20 points, one of six ‘Cats to hit the double-figure mark in points in the game. Set career bests in field goals (7-12) and made three-pointers (3).
•Closed out the regular season by hitting the nine-point mark for the third time in the last four games at Furman, Feb. 28. Also pocketed a team-best four steals in the 66-63 win.

2007-08 Highlights:

•One of six Wildcats to play in all 30 contests as a sophomore.
•Had one of her best all-around games of the season. The sophomore, in a career-best 26 minutes, showed hustle on the defensive end with two steals and four boards, while on offense, she tied her season-high with nine points and dished out four assists.
•In first collegiate start on Jan. 12 vs. Appalachian State, sophomore set a new personal-best with six assists and scored seven points in 19 minutes of action.
•Hit a clutch three-ball late in the second half of the Wildcats' 68-63 win over Winthrop on Dec. 2 as she had a career game. In 16 minutes of play, tied career-high with nine points, six of them on two shots from behind the arc, and set new career-best in assists with four.
•Led Wildcats to win over NJIT at the St. Joe's Hawk Classic with six points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in 22 minutes off the bench. 

2006-07 Highlights:
•Scored first two career collegiate points on a layup and pocketed first steal of the season in an 82-68 win at East Tennessee State.
•In Wildcats’ SoCon opener, hit season-high 3-of-5 field goals, including a three-pointer, and was 2-for-2 from the line for career-high nine points, all coming in the second half.
•Swiped three of the Wildcats’ 20 steals at Georgia Southern on Jan. 13 to match a season-high.
•Registered a perfect game at Chattanooga on Feb. 5, going 3-for-3 from the floor, including a three-ball in scoring seven points in only 10 minutes of action.
•Scored in nine of her first 14 games, including a four-game stretch where she averaged 4.5 ppg.

High School Notes:
•Averaged 14.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
•Earned all-conference, all-state second team and Omaha all-area first-team honors during prep career.
•Competed in both volleyball and track along with basketball.
•During senior year in volleyball, earned all-state honorable mention and was Omaha All-Area honorable mention.
•Off the court, was a member of FCA, the secretary and president of FFA and in the Ambassador Program.
