Coaches' Comments: “Maxi is a fierce competitor that earned the captaincy with his ability, play-making and intensity. His striker capacities are elevating in terms of movement, finishing and helping us pick great moments to pressure.

2015: Appeared in 17 contests, including 16 starts… Scored his lone goal in Davidson’s 2-2 draw with Duke (9/29)… Led the squad with five assists, which ranked tied for seventh in the Atlantic 10… Provided the game-tying and winning assist in Davidson’s season-opening win over Campbell (8/28)… Also had a two-assist game in the Wildcats’ blanking of conference foe Saint Joseph’s (10/21).

2014: Started 17 out of 18 games in midfield, scoring a career-high four goals on 28 shots… Registered 12 points on four goals and four assists, good for second on the team… Scored a goal on two shots in the ‘Cats thrilling 4-3 come-from-behind win over Cal Poly (8/29)… Recorded a season-high four shots against Duke (10/14)… Scored a goal and added an assist against St. Joseph’s (11/6).

2013: Became just the second Wildcat to earn SoCon All-Freshman honors since 2008… Played all 19 games as a frosh, including 14 starts… Led the team in assists (6), while ranking second in total points with 10… Also added a pair of goals… Four of his set ups came either on game-tying or game-winning goals… Began his career with three assists and a game-winning goal against Harvard (9/8) in his first three games… Recorded both assists in Davidson’s 2-0 blanking of Marshall (9/1)… His final strike of the season gave the Wildcats an early 1-0 lead over Elon (10/26).

Prep Years: Played for ISFA England U16 and ESFA Shropshire U18 teams… Set school record with 39 goals as a freshman… Currently has 84 goals for his high school career… As a senior tallied 25 goals while leading his club to the ISFA Cup semifinals… Also played rugby, cricket and handball in high school.

Why did you choose Davidson? “As a Jamaican/UK student, the US system really appealed to me. I researched several top caliber colleges, and eventually came to a decision that Davidson fitted me both academically and as an athlete. I am excited about Division I Soccer with great fixtures not only against SoCon opponents, but also ACC teams. Davidson will make me better, because it will give me a top-class degree whilst playing top-quality soccer.”
 
Personal: Son of Matthew and Jenny Pragnell… Has two older siblings, Louis  and Freddie... major is Psychology.
