
Davidson Wraps Up Day One at 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Davidson men's track and field team opened up its outdoor season at the 49er Classic on Friday.
Matthew Yaun finished fourth overall in the javelin with a 54.78m mark on his first throw. This puts Yaun as the sixth-best javelin thrower in program history.
Quinn Swanton produced the second-highest finish by a Wildcat on the day. Swanton ran 14:56.70 in the 5000m and was fifth overall.
Masson Heiny threw 45.35 in the hammer throw. With that result, only three Wildcats in program history have thrown further than the freshman.
