Davidson Takes Down Duquesne On The Road

PITTSBURGH, PA – Davidson earned its first conference victory of the season with a 20-10 result over the Duquesne Dukes on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 7-1 overall and 1-1 in A-10 play.
The 'Cats jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after the first quarter. Allie Hartnet scored two goals and Jenna Skibbe added a goal. The Dukes responded with three of the next four goals. Davidson led 4-3 with 6:39 left in the second quarter.
Keira Best scored two goals in the final four minutes of the first half. The Wildcats held a 7-4 lead at intermission.
Davidson's offense erupted in the second half with 13 goals compared to Duquesne's six. Jenna Skibbe led the 'Cats with five goals. Keira Best and Adrienne Leone each tallied four goals. It's the third time Leone has scored four goals in a game in her college career. Best also contributed with three assists. Best had a career high in both assists and goals today.
Lydia Canavan and Adrienne Leone led the 'Cats with three ground balls each.
