
Casey Leads ‘Cats on Day One of A-10 Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – In addition to Hannah Casey finishing fourth in the pentathlon, the Davidson women's indoor track and field team scored in four other events to highlight day one of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championships.
A senior from Naples, Fla., Casey tallied 3,468 points over the five events, including Top-3 finishes in the 60mH (2nd), shot put (1st) and long jump (3rd).
In the pole vault, Bella Cantorna (3.60m / 11-09.75) and Molly O'Brien (3.45m / 11-03.75) finished fifth and eighth for the Wildcats, respectively.
Sophomore Stefania Williams, who holds the program record in the long jump, recorded a mark of 5.49m / 18-00.25 to come eighth adding to the Wildcats' total.
Davidson's 4000m distance medley relay team of Ansley Prescott, Sofia Kardel, Jocelyn Millican and Elise Boyse concluded the evening with a fifth-place showing (11:55.17) and four more points.
In all, Davidson finished with 15 team points on day one
Leila Haley will add to the total tomorrow as the freshman finished with the second fastest qualifying time in the 500, a personal-best 1:15.71.
Sofia Szollosi (60m / 7.83), Sofia Kardel (60mH / 9.23) and Tate Arrington (3K / 18:08.23) also recorded career-best times in their respective events.
The final day of competition will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
