Wildcats Play St. Bonaventure to Scoreless Draw

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson College men's soccer team battled the St. Bonaventure Bonnies to a scoreless draw in a defensive showdown at Alumni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Neither team was able to find the net, splitting the points in each team's second conference match. The Wildcats move to 0-0-2 in early conference action while the Bonnies come away with a 0-1-1 record in A-10 play.
Davidson had numerous scoring chances in the match, putting up a season-high 17 shots and seven shots on target. The Bonnies keeper Felix Schone came away with four saves while the Bonnies defenders made three team saves. The game came down to the final minute of regulation as Tobe Ibe had a clean shot on net that was saved by Schone with twenty seconds left in the second half.
Lucas Beltran was excellent in net for the Wildcats, making three saves and earning his second clean sheet of the season.
Brady McGlone led the team with four shots and three shots on goal, while Noah Louzan, JP Ramos Mora, Nico Quanbeck and Aiden Boudro all had two shots.

The Wildcats prepare for another tough non-conference test as they travel to Greensboro on Sept. 23 to face the nationally ranked UNC Greensboro Spartans.
