‘Cats Run by Greensboro College for First Win of 2025

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson wrapped up non-conference play with a convincing 48-0 victory over Greensboro College Saturday evening from inside Davidson College Stadium.
The Wildcats, who picked up their first shutout since a 31-0 blanking of Butler in 2022, improved to 1-3 overall, while the Pride fell to 1-2.
Davidson, which led 42-0 at the half, finished with 502 yards of total offense, including 256 on the ground.
The 'Cats set the tone on their second offensive play from scrimmage as Alani Ajibotosho scored his first career touchdown on a 53-yard reception from Coulter Cleland.
Ivan Hoyt added a pair of second-quarter touchdown receptions 53 seconds apart giving a him team-best four on the season.
Mari Adams, a preseason All-American and member of the Walter Payton watch list, ran for 56 yards and two scores, moving him into fifth and fourth in all-time rushing yards (2,497) and touchdowns (33), respectively.
Backfield mate Mason Sheron also added a first-quarter score for the 'Cats to go with 49 yards on just six carries.
Making his first career start, Hudson Altenburg led Davidson's defense with a pair of first-quarter interceptions.
In all, the Wildcats forced six turnovers (3 interceptions, 3 fumbles) on the night.
