Personal Records Highlight Seventh-Place Finish at Adidas Cross Country Challenge

CARY, N.C. – Senior Molly Sullivan finished 35th out of 144 runners with a time of 17:59.0 to pace the Davidson women's cross country at the adidas Cross Country Challenge hosted by NC State.
Sophomore Abby Smith (18:05.7 / 38th) and freshman Annie Norman (18:09.1 / 41st) finished just behind Sullivan, followed by Leah Horgan (18:30.6 / 46th), Charlotte Moor (18:36.7 / 49th), Ansley Prescott (18:52.7 / 52nd) and Mary Shoop (19:01.2 / 53rd).
In all, four different Wildcats set new personal bests this evening -- Sullivan, Smith, Norman and Horgan.
The host Wolfpack totaled 38 team points, highlighted by the Top-3 finishers to claim the team title over North Carolina and South Carolina.
Davidson, competing in its second event this fall, finished seventh out of 14 teams just behind Elon and High Point.
