FAIRFAX, Va. – In addition to breaking her own school record, Molly Sullivan captured a silver medal in the 3000m Steeple to highlight competition for the Davidson's women's track and field team on day one of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships hosted by George Mason.
A junior from North Kingstown, R.I., Sullivan finished the event in 10:38.74, shattering her previous standard by almost 13 seconds.
Behind a school record of her own in the 100m hurdles, Aleia Gisolfi-McCready (13.65) and teammate Mikayla Wills (13.93) finished 1-2 in the prelims to qualify for Sunday's 11:45 a.m. final.
Gisolfi-McCready also advanced in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.26.
Competing in her first conference meet, freshman Stefania Williams also scored for the Wildcats with an eighth-place showing in the long jump. The program's school-record holder in the event recorded a mark of 5.75m (18' 10 ½") Saturday.
Davidson's Elise Boyse (1500m / 4:36.05), Chris-Ann Nelson (24.58 / 200m) and Ashley Rangel (43.81m / 143' 8") also set new personal bests in their respective events.
The final day of competition will resume Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. with the women's 10,000m, which was postponed due to severe weather in the area.
