'Cats Win Big in Regular Season Finale over La Salle

PHILADELPHIA -- Early and often was Sunday's theme for the Davidson lacrosse program, as the Wildcats took down La Salle 14-3 in their regular season finale from the City of Brotherly Love.
The win improves the 'Cats to 12-4 overall and 8-2 in Atlantic 10 play, and also secures the #3 seed at the 2025 A-10 Championship for the second-straight season. Davidson is now slated to take on #6 VCU on Thursday, May 1 at 3 p.m. on the campus of the University of Richmond in the quarterfinal round.
The offense took off early with a six-goal first quarter, as the 'Cats pulled ahead to an 11-1 lead by the end of the first half. Led by Jacqueline Callahan's five-point day (2 goals, 3 assists), Davidson peppered the Explorers in shots, 35-22, while the defense came up with seven caused turnovers and nine saves from keeper Kayla Joyce.
Jenna Skibbe and Josie Lambert continued their dominance with three goals apiece, and midfielder Riley Moore remained dynamic with four ground balls, four caused turnovers and two draw controls.
