Stewart and Tharin Pace Wildcats in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Joshua Stewart and Will Tharin sit tied for 15th after 36 holes of the Tar Heel Intercollegiate to pace the Davidson men's golf team.
Hosted by the University of North Carolina, the 54-hole event is being played on the Par 70, 7,084-yard UNC Finley Golf Course layout.
Stewart signed for consecutive rounds of 71, while Tharin opened with a 72 before bouncing back with an even-par 70 in the afternoon.
The Wildcat duo are six strokes off the individual lead held by UNC's David Ford (-4).
Davidson, which fired a five-over 285 on its second 18, sits at 581 (+21) just 10 shots out of the Top-5.
Thanks to a tournament-low 273 in the second round, Kennesaw State (-3) leads the host Tar Heels by four.
Will Davis (+6), Davis Sayman (+11) and Nate Faulkner (+18) are also in the Davidson lineup this weekend.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin at 8:15 a.m. off the first and 10th tees.
