Ohio Closes Strong to Defeat Wildcats

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Ohio closed with five straight wins to defeat Davidson, 28-10, in non-conference wrestling action Saturday afternoon inside John M. Belk Arena.
After falling at 133 and 141 pounds, Anderson Heap got Davidson on the board with a 12-2 major decision over Paul Woo.
Trailing 6-1 early in his match, the Wildcats' Anwar Alli rallied for an 11-8 overtime decision to even the dual, 7-7.
Davidson would take its first lead of the afternoon with a win from Tyson Sherlock at 165 pounds. In his first action of the 2025-26 campaign, the sophomore defeated Jack Lledo, 5-1.
The Bobcats took the final five classes to secure the dual.

Davidson will enjoy a two-week break for the Holiday before heading to Chattanooga for the 2026 Southern Scuffle January 3-4.
