HAMPTON, Va. — Davidson's Dylan Felt swam to three event wins as Davidson opened competition in the Richmond Duals Friday evening at the Hampton Aquaplex.
Felt's wins — and two other Wildcat victories — came in the men's two-day dual meet with George Mason, while the Davidson women took third in a four-team championship format event to determine Saturday's dual matchups (Davidson will face George Mason).
Felt won the 50 free in 21.01 and the 200 free in 1:37.12 and finished 1-2 with Henry Shoemaker in the 500 free, with times of 4:34.74 and 4:37.56, respectively.
Fletcher Smith won the 200 back in 1:53.82, with Teddy McDonough taking second (1:54.23), and in the 200 fly, it was another 1-2 Davidson finish for Jackson Bubar (1:53.65) and Robby Votta (1:53.71).
For the Davidson women, Caroline Furbay and McKenna Smith led the way with second-place finishes. Furbay touched second in the 100 free (52.72), while Smith's time of 25.62 came in the 50 fly.
Nora Ratmeyer took third in the 200 fly (2:11.51).
