
Burkholder Breaks Own School Record in Pole Vault

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Davidson's Megan Burkholder broke her own school record in the pole vault Saturday afternoon at the USC Open hosted by the University of South Carolina.
A senior from Cozad, Neb., Burkholder recorded a height of 3.90m | 12' 9.5" to better her previous standard (3.88m (12' 8.75"), which was set at last year's conference meet.
Classmate Sophia Hood also impressed setting a new personal record of her own in the 400 meters with a time of 56.00.
One of four Wildcats competing in the event, Jocelyn Millican led the way in the 800 meters finishing in 2:17.50 to place 10th out of 38 competitors
Davidson's outdoor season features seven straight weekends of competition in preparation for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships, which will take place May 4-5 in Fairfax, Va.
