Wildcats Just Five off the Lead; Stewart Two Back

NEWTON, N.C. – Davidson, which led for much of the day, sits just five strokes off the lead after 36 holes of the 2024 Wofford Invitational.
The 54-hole event is being played on the Par 70, 6,683-yard Catawba Country Club layout.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Richmond (+7) leads the 13-team event by three shots over South Carolina (+10), which is just two clear of the Wildcats, who opened with a tournament-low one-over 281 before signing for a 291 in the afternoon.
After firing a four-under 66 in his opening round to grab the individual lead, Joshua Stewart (66-74 =140 | E) shot 74 on his second 18 and will enter tomorrow's final round just two back of the Spiders' Quin Polin (-2).
Davidson's Will Davis and Alex Heffner are tied for 11th at 143 (+3), while Will Tharin (+6) is also inside the Top-25.
