ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Coming off its first win of the 2023-24 season, Davidson continued its impressive play Thursday as the Wildcats fired a 10-under 274 to grab the lead after day one of The Peoples Championship hosted by Western Carolina University.
The three-day / 54-hole event, which features 22 teams / 128 competitors, is being played on the Par 71, 6,664-yard Sea Palms Resort layout. Tomorrow's second round will begin at 8 a.m. off the 1st and 10th tees.
Davidson, the event's defending champion, will enter tomorrow's second round with a six-shot lead over the Catamounts (-4) and Xavier (-4).

In all, the Wildcats finished the day with 25 birdies.
