Seeding Announced for SoCon Championships

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Southern Conference has released seeding for the 2024 SoCon Wrestling Championships. The postseason tournament is set to take place this Saturday, March 9, at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, North Carolina.

The SoCon received three NCAA allocations at 133 pounds, two at 149 and 165 pounds with the remaining weight classes earning one allocation each, which is the automatic qualifier for the conference tournament champion.

Sophomore Tanner Peake (16-15, 6-1 SoCon) earned Davidson's highest seed at No. 2 in the 157-pound weight class after making it to the finals last season. Bryce Sanderlin (10-6, 4-4 SoCon), Wyatt Ferguson (14-14, 6-2 SoCon), and Jake Fernicola (10-16, 4-4 SoCon) each earned No. 4 seeds. Marc Koch (10-14, 2-3 SoCon) and Cameo Blankenship (13-15, 3-4 SoCon) drew No. 6 seeds.

Enis Ljikovic, Hale Robinson, Joshua Viarengo, and Tyler-Xavier McKnight were all seeded seventh in their respective weight classes.
