‘Cats Just One Back; Davis Grabs Individual Lead

AIKEN, S.C. – In addition to the Wildcats sitting just one stroke off the pace, Davidson's Will Davis fired rounds of 67 and 66 to grab the individual lead after 36 holes of the 2024 Cleveland Golf Palmetto hosted by USC Aiken.
The two-day/54-hole event is being played on the Par 70, 6617-yard Palmetto Golf Club layout.
A junior from Jacksonville, Fla., Davis finished the day with nine birdies and will enter tomorrow's final round with a four-shot advantage over the 75-player field.
Joshua Stewart (E | T-7), who also sits inside the Top-10, continued his steady play for the Wildcats with consecutive rounds of 70.
Davidson (+6), which opened with a 287, bounced back with a round of one-under 279 in the afternoon to sit just one off the lead shared by the host Pacers (+5) and East Carolina (+5).
Benjamin Newfield (+6 | T-29), Alex Heffner (+7 | T-35) and Price Miller (+11 | T54) are also in the Wildcat lineup for the second straight team event.
The final round will begin Tuesday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
