
‘Cats Open Spring Monday at Hal Williams Collegiate

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off three Top-5 finishes in the fall, Davidson will open its 2024 spring campaign Monday at the Hal Williams Collegiate hosted by the University of South Alabama.
The annual 54-hole event will be played on Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove.
Under the direction of six-time Conference Coach of the Year Tim Straub, the Wildcats recorded a third-place finish and two fourth-place showings in four fall events, while posting a 285.58 stroke average.
Highlighted by his first career win, which came at the USF Invitational in October, junior Will Davis leads Davidson with a 69.33 stroke average this season.
Reigning two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Alex Heffner finished the fall with a 70.75 scoring average. Like Davis and Heffner, Joshua Stewart also holds a sub-par (70.83) stroke average to go along with a pair of Top-10s.
Sophomore Price Miller and freshman Benjamin Newfield will also be in the Wildcats' lineup.
Davidson, which has won three straight conference titles, will play six team events this spring before traveling to Orlando, Fla., for the Atlantic 10 Championships April 26-28.
