Felt, Thompson Earn A-10 Swim Honors

WASHINGTON — Davidson swimmers Dylan Felt and Ann Thompson have earned Atlantic 10 Conference weekly honors, the league office announced Tuesday.

A sophomore, Felt has been named the men's Performer of the Week, while Thompson, a freshman, is the women's Rookie of the Week. It's the third time Felt has been honored this season (also Dec. 5, Jan. 23), while the recognition is the first for Thompson. The two helped the Wildcats swim to 21 event wins and two team victories at Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

Already the program recordholder in the 200 free, Felt showed he was in championship form by setting the A-10 record in the event with a time of 1:35.11. It broke the league record previously held by Moritz Fath of George Washington, set in 2019. Felt also added a win in the 500 free (4:27.27) and joined Ian Brann, Zain Butt and Guil Ware on the winning 200 free relay team (1:23.22).

Thompson swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 back in 55.94 and the 200 back in 2:02.72.

Felt, Thompson and the Wildcats now set their sights on the A-10 Championships, which are Feb. 21-24 in Hampton, Va.
