DAVIDSON, N.C. – Highlighted by six games inside a brand-new state-of-the-art facility, Davidson has released its 2024 football schedule, which will kickoff Aug. 31 at Georgetown.
After calling Richardson Stadium home for the last 100 years, the Wildcats will host the first-ever football game at Davidson College Stadium under the lights on Sept. 7.
In addition to week two beginning a stretch of five out of seven on Field 76, each of the Wildcats' home games in the fall will air on ESPN+.
On Sept. 14, Davidson welcomes Point (Ga.) to town for its second straight night contest, before entering its first of two bye weeks during the 11-game slate.
The Wildcats, who are 31-14 in Pioneer Football League action, including two regular season crowns since 2018, will open conference play at Presbyterian Sept. 18.
October will feature three home dates – Marist (Oct. 5), Stetson (Oct. 19) and Butler (Oct. 26) – while the Wildcats travel to Dayton for an Oct. 12 matchup.
Davidson, which had the nation's top rushing attack for the fourth consecutive season and led all of FCS in scoring offense (40.0) in 2023, will begin the final month of the regular season at San Diego Nov. 2.
The 2024 Senior Class will be honored Nov. 9 prior to the Wildcats' 1 p.m. tilt with Morehead State to conclude the home slate.
Following a Week 11 bye, Davidson will conclude its regular season Nov. 23 when its heads to Valparaiso.
The Wildcats will kickoff the spring with their first practice Tuesday, March 19. Practices will be held Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for five consecutive weeks before concluding with the Spring Game on Field 76 April 20 at 4:30 p.m.
