Davis Fires Season Low for Another Top-5 Finish

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Davidson's Will Davis continued his impressive play carding a five-under 66 in the final round of the 2024 Furman Intercollegiate to finish tied for third out of 87 competitors Sunday afternoon.
The two-day event was played on the 7,131-yard, Par 71 Furman University Golf Course layout.
Davis (72-68-66 = 206 | -7), who entered the final round tied for 10th, made the turn in 34 before recording four birdies on his inward nine en route to his ninth career Top-5 showing.
Playing their second tournament in four days, the Wildcats posted a 54-hole total of 862 (+10) to finish the 15-team event tied for sixth.
Like Davis, Joshua Stewart (73-70-69 = 212 | -1) closed with consecutive sub-par rounds moving him into a tie for 15th.
Clayton Couey (+4 | 37th), Davis Sayman (+14 | 74th) and Jackson Bode (+18 | 83rd) were also in the Davidson lineup this weekend.
Ranked 27th in the most recent National poll, Texas A&M (-23) held off the host Paladins (-21), while No. 34 Wake Forest (-19) finished third.
