‘Cats Come Home Seventh at Quebin Cup

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Davidson men's golf team resumed their 2024 fall slate with a seventh-place showing at the inaugural Quebin Cup hosted by High Point University.
 
The 54-hole event was played at Sedgefield Country Club, home of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship.
 
In addition to the host Panthers, the challenging 13-team field included Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Michigan, Davidson, Nebraska, Chattanooga, Colorado State, Coastal Carolina, Furman, College of Charleston, and UNC Wilmington.
 
Coming off a win in their season opener a month ago, the Wildcats concluded in 894 (296-297-301 | +54) to finish in the middle of the pack.
 
Freshman Nate Faulkner (+22) led the way for the 'Cats on Tuesday with a four-over 74.
 
Will Davis (+10) was the top Davidson player on the individual leaderboard coming home tied for 17th, just ahead of teammates Clayton Couey (+12 | 26th) and Joshua Stewart (+13 | 32nd).
 
Davis Sayman (+22) was also in the Wildcats' lineup, while Jackson Bode (+19) competed as an individual.
 
Chattanooga led wire-to-tire to claim the team title, edging Texas A&M.
