Breiter, Davidson Wins 8K at Lenoir Rhyne

HICKORY, N.C. – The Davidson men's cross country team and junior Grahm Breiter took first place at Lenoir-Rhyne's SAC Preview cross country even this past weekend.
Breiter, a junior from Ladero Beach, Calif. secured the top spot on the leader board when he finished the 8K event in 16:36.16, edging out Carson-Newman's Colton Lee by less than a second.
In all, four Wildcats finished inside the top-ten in the 50-man field including three Davidson freshmen. John Cooper took fourth place in his first collegiate meet by running a 26:53.96, Liam Hagerty finished sixth when he crossed the finish line in 26:59.76, and Daniel Cortese took seventh by posting a 27:02.64.
The men's cross country team will be back on the course next Friday when they head to the Queens Invite.
