Krioutchenkov Makes Preseason All-Conference List; 'Cats Picked Ninth

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson College men's soccer team was picked ninth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll on Monday as voted on by the league's coaches. Sophomore Denis Krioutchenkov was also selected to the conference's Preseason All-Conference list.
The Wildcats, who finished last season with a 6-8-3 record, were picked tied for ninth alongside Saint Joseph's while defending A-10 champion Saint Louis was picked atop this year's poll.
Individually, Davidson sophomore Denis Krioutchenkov was voted to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference list after his breakout freshman campaign. The Milwaukee native ranked inside the top-three in five different A-10 offensive categories including shots on goal (32 / 1st), game-winning goals (3 / T-1st), goals (9 / 2nd), points per game (1.18 / 2nd), and total shots (57 / 2nd). For his efforts, Krioutchenkov earned Freshman All-America second team honors, as well as A-10 second team and All-Rookie honors.
The 'Cats will open the regular season this Thursday night at home against High Point with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.
