Felt Swims to Three Olympic Trial Cuts

OCALA, Fla. — Davidson swimmer and reigning Atlantic 10 Conference Most Outstanding Performer Dylan Felt earned multiple U.S. Olympic Trial cuts this week at the 2023 FUTURES Championships.
On Wednesday, Felt qualified for the 2024 Olympic Trials in Indianapolis in both the 200-meter freestyle and the 1,500M free. He followed that by qualifying in the 800M free on Saturday.
Felt's 200 time of 1:49.10 won the event and eclipsed the cut by 0.89, while his 1,500 time (second) of 15:38.35 was more than a second faster than the Trials standard (15:39.89). His 800 time (third) of 8:07.45 was more than two seconds faster than the Trials mark (8:09.69).
Felt also competed in the 100M free and 400M free.
A rising sophomore, Felt had a breakthrough debut college season. He won two A-10 freestyle championships, secured four medals and was named Most Outstanding Rookie, along with the aforementioned top league honor.
