DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson guard Suzi-Rose Deegan will return to play a fifth season for the Wildcats in 2023-24, she announced Thursday.
Deegan has a fifth year of eligibility available to her due to the NCAA's COVID-19 pandemic season waiver.
"I am so excited that Rosie is returning to Davidson for a fifth year," said head coach Gayle Fulks. "I feel that she is poised to build off of the great season she had last year and can help our program compete for an A-10 Championship. Rosie is going to bring experience and leadership to a team that is going to have a large number of newcomers. Having Rosie for another season is incredibly valuable and I cannot wait to watch her development over the course of next year."
Deegan started in all 30 games for the 'Cats during her senior season, averaging 13.9 points per game, and became the 22nd member of the program's 1,000-point club during the 2022-23 campaign. She averages 13.5 points per game throughout her four-year career, having won the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Year honor after her debut season.
In addition to being named the league's top rookie during the 2019-20 season, she also garnered First Team All-Conference accolades before earning Preseason All-Conference honors her sophomore and junior year.
