Field Hockey Welcomes Lock Haven Saturday

After three games on the road, the Davidson field hockey team returns to Belk Turf Field Saturday for a 5 p.m. contest against Atlantic 10 foe Lock Haven.
The Wildcats are 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the A-10 as they enter their ninth all-time meeting with the Bald Eagles.
Davidson earned its first win in the series last year in Pennsylvania, defeating Lock Haven 2-1 when Julia Smith converted an overtime penalty stroke.
Saturday's game was originally set for Friday evening, but was moved due to inclement weather.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
Charlie Kabelac, Natalie Naticchia and Anna Sharp lead Davidson with three goals apiece, while Sib Naaktgeboren ranks second in the A-10 with five assists.
Celie Constantine has three assists, and backs Sarah Minges and Caroline Wack have two defensive saves.
SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES
Lock Haven arrives with an 8-1 record and a 1-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play.
All the Bald Eagles' wins have been by one goal, including overtime victories against Bellarmine and Colgate. Their lone loss is to No. 12 Saint Joseph's by a 2-0 score on Sept. 23.
Midfielders Martina Spangenberg, Jazmin Palma and Constanza Lopez Zabala are tied for the team lead with four goals. Spangenberg was an Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team member a year ago. Defender Ellie Mead is tied for the A-10 lead with three defensive saves.
