
Burkholder, Davis lead 'Cats at Weems Baskin

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Megan Burkholder and Anna Davis brought home two top finishes for Davidson at the Weems Baskin Invite, hosted by the University of South Carolina Friday and Saturday. Burkholder won the pole vault and set the new school record with a mark of 3.73m, while Davis won the 400m hurdles in 1:00.18.
Another school record was set in the 4x100 relay, ran by Cassandra Blau, Kierra Marshall, Rachel Horowitz and Kate Carnevale with a time of 47.20. Sophia Hood came in second in the 400m dash finishing in 57.15 seconds.
Breila Fuller rounded out the top three finishers in the 1500m invite and the top five in the 800m invite with a time of 2:16.87. The 'Cats saw another third place finish from Natalie Abernathy in the steeplechase. Riley Dodd's mark of 1.50m earned a fourth place finish.
