Multiple School Records Fall at Weems Baskin

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Jayden Smith and Jack Stajos broke two school records for the Davidson Men's Track and FIeld team on Saturday on the second day of the Weems Baskin Invite, hosted by the University of South Carolina. Smith broke the record set in 1982 with his time of 14.07 while Stajos broke the record set in 1987 in the discus throw with a 49.24m mark.
Jordan Benson also finished in third on the 110m hurdles, beating the previous school record with his time of 14.26, coming in behind Smith. In the 400m hurdles, Bryce Anthony and Cory Gaither came in second and third with times of 52.11 and 52.77.
The 4x400 team of Cory Gaither, Bryce Anthony, Isaac Bynum and Raphael Oettl came in seventh. Nick Masterman placed ninth in the javelin throw and John Curtin came in tenth in the triple jump.
