
Kanjian Ties School Record Mark, 'Cats Complete at 49er Classic

DAVIDSON, NC - Davidson women's track and field competed at the 49er Classic hosted by UNC Charlotte over the weekend, led by Hannah Kanjian who tied the school record in the long jump. The record of 5.60m was set at the 2018 A10 Championships by former Wildcat Makayla Binter.
"We had a really fun rust buster meet in windy Charlotte," Director of Women's Track and Field Jen Straub said. "We had some great performances and are looking forward to seeing improvement throughout the spring."
The 'Cats had a number of top finishes including a first place finish in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:54.04. The second Davidson relay team finished in third. Anna Davis finished in second place in the 400m, setting a new personal record with her time of 56.16. The Clarkesville, Ga. native also finished in 10th place in the 100m hurdles. Rachel Horowitz earned a top-five finish in the 200m run, crossing the finish line at 24.85, as well as a 16th place finish in the 100m.
Aleia Gisolfi-McCready finished behind her in the 400m in sixth place, stopping the clock at 58.50. The freshman also registered an 11th place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.35. Megan Burkholder rounded out the top three in the pole vault with a mark of 3.60m.
