First-Half Header Lifts VCU over Wildcats

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Jean-Claude Bile's 25th minute header held as VCU edged Davidson, 1-0, in Atlantic 10 men's soccer action Saturday evening inside Alumni Stadium.
The Wildcats, who were unbeaten in their last four at home, fall to 4-7-2 and 1-3-1 in the league, while the Rams improve to 1-5-5 and 1-0-3.
The game's only goal was set up by a Mouhamed Tucker cross into the box.
Davidson, which finished with a commanding 12-5 advantage in shots, had a number of chances to equalize in the second half, including a penalty kick that VCU's keeper John Ermini turned away.

Davidson will conclude its homestand Wednesday when former SoCon rival Furman visits Alumni Stadium.
