Brady, Davis Earn A-10 Weekly Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Davidson volleyball team has once again captured Atlantic 10 weekly honors, as the league office announced Monday that Bella Brady has been named the Defensive Player of the Week while freshman Kayla Davis earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Davis' honor marks the third different Davidson freshman to win the conference's Rookie of the Week title this season, while Brady earned her third defensive honor of the season.
With the ninth weekly award of her career, Brady averaged an even 5.00 digs per set and 2.00 assists per set while leading the 'Cats to two 3-0 sweeps over Fordham. The libero passed a perfect 1.000 on serve receive en route to Davidson capturing its most wins in a regular season since 2013 and since joining the Atlantic 10.
At the net, Davis hit an outstanding .478 on the weekend, totaling 12 kills on 23 swings with just one error. The Texas native averaged 2.00 kills per set paired with 2.25 points per set and three total blocks.
