Wildcats Add 10 Event Wins in Second Day of Duals

RICHMOND, Va. — Davidson swimmers and divers added 10 more event victories to their weekend total Saturday against George Mason at the Richmond Duals.
Miles Charles and Annica Valmassei led the way as both the Davidson men and women secured five wins.
Valmassei swept the women's diving events, winning the 1-meter with 272.30 points and the 3-meter with 273.30 points.
Charles won the men's butterfly events, touching the wall first in the 50 fly (22.90) and 100 fly (50.53), and he also joined Jeremy Kemp, Andrew Schou and Ben McClain on the victorious 400 medley relay (3:24.64).
For the Davidson women, other wins came from Shelby Stanley (100 fly, 57.33), Kate Pottle (500 free, 5:05.19) and Sylvia Stewart-Bates (1,650 free, 17:49.51).
For the Wildcat men, Dylan Felt won the 500 free in 4:31.73, earning his third victory of the weekend, while Ben Cutforth won 1M diving (281.55) and also finished atop the 3M exhibition.
The Patriots earned the team wins in the standings, by a 160.5 to 138.5 margin in the women's competition and 205.5 to 166.5 in the men's.
