DAYTON, Ohio -- After Friday night's thrilling upset, the Davidson Wildcats doubled down on Saturday and defeated the Dayton Flyers, for the second time this weekend, with a 3-1 victory.

With the win, Davidson improves its record to 10-5 overall and 4-0 in conference play, marking the program's first 4-0 start to A-10 league action.

Overall, the Flyers out-hit the 'Cats .171 to .152, while Davidson collected 14 total blocks compared to Dayton's 10. The Wildcats also served six aces and had just four serve receive errors.

Anela Davis led the efforts for the second straight night, earning 10 total blocks with eight assists and two solo stops. The senior middle blocker also hit .500 with four kills on eight swings. Isabel Decker had a team-high 14 kills, while completing the double-double with 12 digs, and Jackie Bardin followed suit with 13 kills. Freshman Kayla Davis had another steady performance, swinging at a .400 attacking percentage (5 kills, one error, 10 attempts) and Bella Brady recorded 18 digs. Jessie Doyal and Xuan Nguyen also paced Davidson's offense with 21 and 22 assists, respectively.

Davidson picked up right where it left off to start the second game of the series, holding Dayton to a .031 attacking percentage in the opening set and cruising to a 25-15 victory. Dayton turned around and answered the call, hitting its match-high .292 in the second to win it 25-16, and settle the score at 1-1.

For the final two sets, the Wildcats battled back and forth with the Flyers. In the third, Davidson hit a game-high .357 despite falling behind 15-10 early. After a kill from Decker on the outside, the sophomore went to the service line and served three aces, putting Davidson back in front for the first time that frame. While tied 21-all, freshman Emma Slusser gave the 'Cats two kills it needed to seal the deal and win it 25-23.

In the deciding fourth set, the 'Cats led comfortably at 21-13, thanks to a kill from Jackie Bardin, before Dayton rattled off a 9-1 run to tie the set at 22-all. From there, the Flyers and 'Cats each reached set-point on three different occasions, before kills from Anela Davis and Decker put the game away for good with a 30-28 victory.
