NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- After being Davidson's ace all season long, sophomore Josie Schaffer was recognized by the Atlantic 10, being named to the A-10's First Team All-Conference list, the league announced Tuesday.
Schaffer's recognition marks the first, First Team nod for a Wildcat since Anna Catharine was named to the conference's top team back in 2018.
A native to Greenwood Village, Colorado, Schaffer appeared in 19 of Davidson's 21 matches this season, finishing 10-9 from court one and leading the team with her 10 wins. Earning the league's Performer of the Week back on March 11, Schaffer pieced together two three-match win streaks from the singles courts this season and finished 9-10 overall as part of the team's top doubles unit.
