Freshmen duo Maxwell Kachkarov and Alejandro Solares won their fourth doubles match of the season today, competing from the No. 1 court for the sixth straight time, with a 6-4 victory against Georgia Southern's Wagemaker and Roumpis. With a 7-5 win from court three, thanks to Ogden Timpson and William Clark, Davidson was able to pick up the doubles point and head into the singles matches with a 1-0 advantage.
The Eagles turned the tide for today's singles matches, as they eventually took five of the six contests. Solares won the Wildcats' lone singles match of the day, picking up a 6-1 set one win before falling 2-6 in the second, but bouncing back with a 6-2 win in the third to capture his fourth career singles match victory.
Kachkarov battled tough from court one, as he won the first 7-5 before eventually falling in three.
Davidson has a short turnaround, as the 'Cats will be back in action on Sunday afternoon to take on Wofford from the Davidson Tennis Courts.
