
Men's Track & Field Begins Three-Day Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Men's track and field opened up day one of the Raleigh Relays Thursday, tackling a pair of events at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of NC State.
Wildcat sophomore Owen Drometer moved into second on the all-time performers list in the 1500-meter run. Drometer stopped the clock at 3:48.51, within a second of Andrew Lantz program record run of 3:47.58, completed at nearby Duke University in 2013.
Davidson junior Cory Gaither advanced to Saturday's finals in the 110-meter hurdles. The Statesville, N.C., product claimed the final spot and stopped the clock at 14.47 seconds, just ahead of freshman teammate Isaac Bynum, the ninth fastest competitor in the prelims.
The 'Cats return to the track tomorrow, Friday, Mar. 27 for the second of three days at the Raleigh Relays.
