Wildcats Wrap Up Homestand Wednesday Against VCU

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson will conclude its three-game homestand Wednesday evening when Atlantic 10 foe VCU visits Alumni Stadium for a 7 p.m. start.
Coming off a come-from-behind 2-2 (2OT) draw with George Mason over the weekend, the Wildcats enter 1-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in league play.
Trailing 2-0 late in regulation, the 'Cats got a pair of goals from freshman Adam Luckhurst to force extra time and earn a point in the league standings.
For his efforts, Luckhurst was tabbed the A-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Through four contests, the first-year forward leads the 'Cats in goals scored (2), assists (2) and total points (6).
VCU, which picked up its first win over the weekend, enters 1-1-1 on the young season.
The Rams' edged Elon Sunday, 3-2, with Celio Pompeau netting all three goals for his first career hat trick.
