Davidson Ousted by #13 Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- In a nonconference rematch with the No. 13 Demon Deacons, the Davidson men's tennis team battled in all nine matches today, but ultimately fell 7-0 to the regional ACC opponent.
Wake Forest clipped the doubles point early on, but not before Davidson's No. 1 doubles team, Maxwell Kachkarov and Alejandro Solares, fought to a 6-3 result against the No. 18 doubles team in the nation.
Junior Ogden Timpson highlight the Wildcats' singles matches, as he earned his second-straight start from court five. Against #121 Tacchi, Ogden dropped set one but bounced back with a commanding 6-1 set two victory. In the tiebreaker set, Timpson fell 6-3.
Davidson will return to the courts, on the road, next Friday night for a 5:30 p.m. match up against Georgia Southern.
