
'Cats Head to Elon for Sunday Matinee

The Series
- Sunday's meeting against Elon will be the 30th meeting between the two programs.
- Davidson holds the all time series at a 19-10 advantage.

- Heading into the Sunday matinee, Davidson and Elon have the same record at 5-2.
- A win on Sunday would be Davidson's 20th win all time against the Phoenix, Head Coach Gayle Fulks' first win over the Phoenix and the Wildcats' first win against Elon since 2014.
WHAT YOU'VE MISSED... The Davidson Wildcats are in the midst of a five-game win streak, including two victories in as many days during the FAU Thanksgiving Invitational. The 'Cats are on their longest win streak since winning six in a row last season that spanned from Dec. 9 to Jan. 3. Davidson currently checks in at 120 in the NET Rankings and is third in the Atlantic 10 across overall records with a 5-2 ledger.
THE ROOKIE... Davidson's rookie Issy Morgan has been the story so far this season for the 'Cats, as she has won back-to-back A-10 Rookie of the Week honors, averaging 10.6 points per game through seven games. The Australia native is shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 50 percent (8-of-16) from beyond the arc while her three-point field goal percentage ranks number one in the Atlantic 10 conference, and she sits top-5 in field goal percentage across the league.
FOR THE BRAND... Davidson's brand, #ShareShootStifle, has been at the forefront of its play this season, as the 'Cats rank 19th in the nation in free throw percentage (78.5%), 79th in field goal percentage (43.5%) and 72nd in three-point percentage (34.4%). In the conference, the Wildcats also rank second in field goal percentage, third in three-point field goals and second in free throw percentage.
FOLLOW THE LEADER... Through seven games this season the Wildcats have had six different leading scorers in their games, from Adelaide Fuller leading the way on opening night against No. 24 Virginia Tech with 15 points, to rookie Issy Morgan pacing the 'Cats in their last victory with a career-high 19 points against Austin Peay. Along the way, Davidson has also seen Cassidy Gould, Elle Sutphin, Suzi-Rose Deegan and Chloe Welch lead in the scoring column.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS... Dating back to the 2019-20 season, Davidson is now 21-6 when making 25 field goals or more in a single game. In those 21 games, the Wildcats shot at least 35.9% or better from from the floor including five performances with a 50% or higher field goal percentage. This season, the 'Cats have hit 25 or more field goals in their four of their last five games and average 24.9 field goals per game.
