Morgan Earns Third A-10 Rookie of the Week Nod

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Davidson freshman Issy Morgan has earned her third Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor this season, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
The rookie averaged 9.0 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats and shot 4-of-8 (50%) from the field on Wednesday against Appalachian State. Against the Mountaineers, the Wildcats were battling back-and-forth for the lead until Morgan scored eight straight points in the third quarter and allowed Davidson to push its lead to 50-38, solidifying the lead for the day.
Over the week, she shot 43.8 percent from the floor, dished seven assists, including a career-high five against App State, and picked five total steals.
Morgan and the Wildcats are set to tip off on Monday evening, taking on Western Carolina in Cullowhee at 5 p.m. For more information, visit @DavidsonWBB on Twitter.
