Morgan Repeats as Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

The Sydney native has won back-to-back weekly honors from the league office.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Davidson freshman Issy Morgan has been named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week, for the second week in a row, the conference announced Monday morning.
The Sydney, Australia native lit up the floor in a 2-0 week for the 'Cats, leading Davidson to its fourth and fifth straight wins at the FAU Thanksgiving Invitational last week. After a team-high 12 points on Friday against Austin Peay, Morgan came back stronger on Saturday setting a new career-high with 19 points, while also scoring the game-high, against FAU.
On the week, the rookie shot 10-of-17 (58.8%) from the field including a 6-of-9 effort from the floor and 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range against the Owls. She also dished seven assists on the week while averaging 15.5 points per game.
