DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Off to their best start in Atlantic 10 play in program history, the Davidson Wildcats will look to build off of their success this weekend as they visit Dayton and Duquesne.

The 'Cats will take on league favorite Dayton on Saturday at 1 p.m., then turn around for a 2 p.m. first serve on Sunday in Pittsburgh against Duquesne. Dayton currently sits atop the conference standings, with Saint Louis, with a 4-0 record while the Dukes are 2-2 and in fifth place. At 4-1, the Wildcats are tied for second place with VCU.

Series History
  • The Wildcats will look to defeat Dayton for the first time in program history on Saturday, as the Flyers hold the all-time series at an 11-0 advantage.
  • Davidson has taken just one set from the Flyers, since joining the Atlantic 10 in 2014-15.
  • Against the Dukes, the 'Cats are 3-7 all-time but have won three of the last four meetings against Duquesne. Despite dropping last year's match 3-0 in Pittsburgh, Davidson had won three straight over the Dukes, in 3-0, 3-1 and 3-0 decisions.
  • With an 8-7 overall record this fall, Davidson is still looking for its first true road win.
Three Things to Know
Heating Up
The Wildcats are on a tear since the start of conference play, going 4-1 in A-10 action for the first time in program history, and off to their best start in conference play since 2010 when Davidson also started league play at 4-1 from inside the Southern Conference. In addition to the record, Davidson has won its last 10 straight sets, and is amidst a four-match win streak, marking the program's longest win streak since 2018.

Death. Taxes. Bella Brady's Defense.
Only midway through the season, libero Bella Brady has made a name for herself in her sophomore campaign earning four A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Winter Park, Fla. native is currently fifth in the country in digs per set (5.67) and eighth in total digs (329). Already surpassing the 500-dig career mark, Brady currently has 546 career digs to date, and leads the Atlantic 10 with her digs per set average and total digs. Brady is also passing .951 on serve receive.

On My Block
Davidson's blocking unit, made up primarily of Lauryn Albold, Anela Davis and Sola Omonije, ranks among the top-four in the Atlantic 10 in total blocks and blocks per set. With 116.5 total blocks and a 2.01 blocks per set average, Davis leads the way with 59 blocks, good for fourth in the conference, while Omonije has 41 and Albold has 35.
