'Cats Ready for Home-and-Home with VCU

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson volleyball team will conclude its home schedule on Friday night, playing host to the VCU Rams, before making a return trip to Richmond on Sunday to play inside the Siegel Center.
Friday night will also serve as the team's Senior Day, as the Wildcats will honor their Class of 2022 in Malia Kay, Lauryn Albold, Annalyse Kitzberger and Hattie Rodriguez prior to opening serve.

- Davidson welcomes the Rams into Belk Arena as VCU is currently tied for second place among the A-10 standings with a 12-11 overall record and 7-3 conference ledger.
- The 'Cats are right behind VCU, in fourth place, with a 10-10 overall slate and 6-4 A-10 record.
- Davidson and VCU had three memorable matchups last season, as the two teams first competed inside Vance Athletic Center and split the series 1-1. The Rams later took the tie-breaking, third match in 3-0 fashion from Richmond.
- The Wildcats' win over the Rams last year came during a 3-2 bout that saw the 'Cats steal sets one, two and five. In the fifth deciding set, Davidson swung .263 and held the Rams to a .077 attacking percentage to earn its first win against VCU since 1994 and just second win ever against the Rams.
- Averaging 3.34 kills per set this season, senior Hattie Rodriguez is currently at 857 career kills.
- Sophomore Bella Brady ranks among the nation's top liberos, averaging 5.64 digs per set (5th) and totaling 429 digs (13th) this season alone. On her career, Brady has 645 career digs.
